I am often asked this question “How can I start to market online with my business opportunity?” If you also have this question in mind, you have come to the right place. I am going to share some simple techniques you can use to start marketing online, even if you are not skilled in computer and only know how to operate emails and surfing the Internet. I will also provide some step-by-step videos to assist in your first marketing campaign.

Is Your Business Internet Friendly?

Before we dive in to the steps to get started, you need to ask yourself this question, “Does your business opportunity allow you to market online? Would you be able to sign up members online without of filling tons of physical form at their office?” It is unimaginable that such businesses still exist and survive, but my previous primary business actually requires my pre-member to be physically present at the local office to be enrolled. It was almost equal to a marriage solemnization ceremony. Naturally I had to discontinue with that business, as it was so unfriendly to Internet marketing and ineffective in this information age.

Step One – Your Landing Page

To begin marketing online, you would first need a landing page or squeeze page. A landing page refers to a one page website that you will promote on the Internet. The visitor who goes to your landing page should find enough information about your business opportunity for them to fill in their names and email addresses, telephone numbers, etc.

If your business opportunity does not come with a landing page or you do not like the pre-customized one, you can also create your own landing page. There are many free webpage creation tools online that you can use, one such free tool is Weebly.com. Using this tool, you do not need prior knowledge of HTML or any programming language. It is a pure drag and drop application, very user friendly.

If your opportunity does not provide a landing page, it is wise to verify if it allows your prospect to sign up or make transaction online. This is crucial to your success if you are planning to market it online.

You may be asking, “Would my website homepage be as good as a landing page?”

If you were to send prospect to your homepage, they could have trouble finding your offer and often get lost in the midst and gave up. Worst, they could see some interesting link in your home page and clicked away from your website and never come back again.

On the other hand, when you direct visitors to your landing page, you can design the way they see the opportunity information, check out your offer and sign up for more. Landing Page allows you to navigate your visitors through your site and create that emotional desire to want to share their contact information or to make a purchase. Therefore a Landing Page is crucial to a successful online business.
