• Success in Marketing online Part 2: Follow Up and Traffic

  Part 1 of this series helps you to determine if your current business opportunity is suitable for online marketing and what is an Internet Friendly Business.   Step Two – Follow up with your prospect

  Once you have your landing page set up, what you will need to do is to follow up with your prospect after they have subscribed to receive more information on your opportunity. In this process you begin to build a relationship with them.  In the network marketing business, this is even more important. Your prospects want to find out who you are, in order to trust you enough to join you. Studies have also shown that it takes up to seven follow-ups before you can close a sale. Your regular follow-up will help to remind your prospect and emphasize the value of your product and business.

  One way to automate this process is to use an Autoresponder. This tool will allow you to send educational information to your list automatically, keeping you in touch with each of your prospect on a daily basis, therefore building a good and valuable relationship. Autoresponder will make the receiver perceives that each of your messages was crafted and sent personally by embedding the receiver’s name. It also enables you to broadcast customized messages to your subscribers list.

  Step Three – Generate Traffic to your Landing page

  This is the most important and the most discussed topic in Internet marketing. After you have set up your Landing page and Autoresponder system, you now need to bring people to your Internet Shop, which is your landing page. Traffic generation can come from these marketing strategies:

  1. Social media marketing

  • Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter

  2. Content/Article marketing

  • Squidoo, Ezine Article,

  3. Paid Advertisement

  • List Builder, PPC, Ezine Solo Ads, Banners

  4. Video Marketing

  • Youtube, Metacafe, Viddlers

  5. Blogging

  • Bloggers, Wordpress, Self-hosted Blogs

  Generally, these strategies are classified into Paid or Free traffic. If you can set aside a budget, then it will help you to generate traffic quickly. Nevertheless free traffic is also not difficult to generate but will require a little more time and effort to set up.

  A successful marketer usually combines both free and paid strategies to achieve their targeted results, as so in my case.

  In this step here what you need to do here is to choose 1-2 marketing strategy and stick with it until you are proficient in generating your desired traffic and then progress to the next strategies.
